Why This Package

Package Highlights

A high-altitude adventure through Ladakh's monasteries, deserts and lakes — the rooftop of India.

Pangong Tso Lake

Witness the surreal colour-shifting blue waters of Pangong Tso, stretching 134 km across the India-Tibet border at 4,225 m — one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world.

Khardung La Pass

Drive across the world's highest motorable mountain pass at 5,359 m, marked by prayer flags fluttering against a backdrop of endless snow-clad peaks.

Nubra Valley Sand Dunes

Ride a double-humped Bactrian camel across the cold desert dunes of Hunder, framed by snow peaks on one side and rippling sand on the other.

Ancient Monasteries

Explore centuries-old gompas — Hemis, Thiksey, Diskit and Alchi — perched on cliffsides, home to giant Buddha statues, ancient murals and monks at prayer.

Tso Moriri Wildlife Lake

A pristine, less-visited Changthang lake ringed by snow peaks, home to the kiang (Tibetan wild ass), black-necked cranes and bar-headed geese.

Magnetic Hill & Sangam

Experience the gravity-defying optical illusion at Magnetic Hill, then visit the dramatic confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers nearby.

When to Go

Best Time to Visit Ladakh

Ladakh is a high-altitude desert with a short travel season — timing your visit makes all the difference.

🌼

Spring

May – June

Highways reopen, weather turns pleasant by day but remains cold at night. Apricot blossoms in Sham Valley. Fewer crowds.

☀️

Summer

June – August

Peak season — all passes including Khardung La, Chang La and Manali–Leh highway are fully open. Hemis Festival in June/July. Best overall.

🍂

Autumn

September

Crystal-clear skies, golden landscapes, and noticeably fewer tourists while roads remain open. Our favourite.

❄️

Winter

Oct – April

Most highways close due to snow; Leh is reachable only by flight. Famous for the frozen Chadar Trek on the Zanskar river (specialist trips only).

Common Questions

Ladakh Tour FAQs

May to September is the ideal window when the Leh–Manali and Leh–Srinagar highways are open and all high passes including Khardung La, Chang La and Tanglang La are accessible. June–August is peak season with Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso fully operational. September offers exceptionally clear skies with fewer crowds. Winter (Nov–Feb) sees most roads closed, though Leh remains reachable by flight for specialist trips like the Chadar Trek.
Yes, an Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for Indian nationals to visit Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Khardung La and other protected border areas. Foreign nationals require a Protected Area Permit (PAP), typically issued for groups of two or more. We handle all permit paperwork — simply share copies of your ID proof a couple of days before the trip and we'll take care of the rest.
Leh sits at roughly 3,500 m and altitude sickness (AMS) is a genuine consideration for every visitor. Our itinerary builds in a full acclimatization day on arrival before any sightseeing, gradual altitude gain on subsequent days, and oxygen cylinders plus a first-aid kit in every vehicle throughout the trip. We recommend staying well hydrated, avoiding alcohol and strenuous activity on day one, and consulting your doctor about preventive medication such as Diamox before you travel.
The most common route is flying from Kangra/Dharamshala or Chandigarh to Delhi, then taking a connecting flight to Leh's Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. For the adventurous, the iconic Manali–Leh highway (open roughly June–September) can be done as a multi-day road journey with overnight halts, which we can arrange as an extension to this package. All airport pick-up and drop arrangements in Leh are handled door to door by our team.
Our Premium and Luxury packages include overnight stays at Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso plus a full-day Tso Moriri excursion. The Standard package covers Leh sightseeing, Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso, with Tso Moriri available as an optional add-on (approx. ₹4,500/person) due to its remote, full-day nature. All lake and valley visits include the required Inner Line Permits.
Yes! A very popular combination is Srinagar–Kargil–Leh by road via the Zoji La pass, or a Manali–Leh highway journey followed by our Ladakh circuit. We design custom 14–16 day combined itineraries covering Kashmir's gardens and lakes alongside Ladakh's high-altitude landscapes at a special bundled rate.
