When to Go

Best Time to Visit Nepal

Nepal is a year-round destination with each season offering a distinct and rewarding experience.

🌸

Spring

March – May

Rhododendrons bloom across the hills, pleasant temperatures and clear mountain views. Best overall.

🌿

Summer / Monsoon

June – August

Lush green valleys and waterfalls at their fullest, but hill roads can be affected by rain and landslides.

🍂

Autumn

Sep – November

Crystal-clear Himalayan views, festival season (Dashain & Tihar) and ideal trekking weather. Our favourite.

❄️

Winter

Dec – February

Crisp, clear mornings in the valleys; Nagarkot & Pokhara views remain excellent, though hill nights are cold.

Common Questions

Nepal Tour FAQs

October–December and March–May are the best times to visit Nepal, offering clear skies, pleasant temperatures and the finest mountain views from Pokhara and Nagarkot. Winter (December–February) is good for the lower valleys but can be cold in the hills. The monsoon (June–September) brings lush greenery but also landslides on hill roads, so travel can be less predictable. We operate year-round and tailor itineraries to every season.
Indian nationals do not need a visa to enter Nepal and can travel with a valid passport or an approved photo ID such as a voter ID card. Children under 18 must carry a birth certificate if they do not have a passport. We recommend carrying a passport wherever possible for smoother border formalities and hotel check-ins.
The most convenient option is a flight from Delhi or Chandigarh to Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport (we arrange transfers from Dharamshala to the airport, approx. 5–6 hours by road). Overland travellers can take a road and rail journey to the Sunauli or Raxaul border crossings, followed by a drive into Kathmandu. All pick-up, drop and border-crossing arrangements are handled by our team.
The Everest Mountain Flight from Kathmandu is an optional add-on (approx. ₹18,000–₹22,000 per person) and is included as standard only in our Luxury package. It can be booked in advance subject to weather and seating availability, offering a one-hour scenic flight along the Himalayan range including Mount Everest.
Yes, Chitwan National Park safaris are conducted by experienced, licensed naturalists in jeeps or on canoe rides with full safety briefings. Chitwan is home to the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, gharial crocodiles, deer, sloth bears and over 500 species of birds. Sightings are never guaranteed in the wild, but Chitwan offers some of the best wildlife encounters in South Asia.
Yes! Nepal pairs beautifully with North India itineraries. Popular combinations include Nepal with Varanasi/Lucknow (via the Sunauli border) or Nepal with Darjeeling and Sikkim (via Kakarbhitta). We design custom 10–14 day combined itineraries at a special bundled rate — contact us to plan your perfect cross-border Himalayan holiday.
