Detailed Itinerary
An expertly paced 8-day journey balancing temples, lakeside leisure, wildlife and Himalayan views.
Kathmandu Arrival – Pashupatinath & Boudhanath Stupa
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. After check-in and a short rest, visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, one of the holiest Shiva shrines in the world. In the evening, walk around the towering Boudhanath Stupa, spinning prayer wheels alongside Tibetan monks as butter lamps flicker at dusk. Return to your hotel for dinner.
Kathmandu Durbar Square & Swayambhunath
A full day exploring the Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Morning visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its carved wooden palaces, the Kumari Ghar (home of the Living Goddess) and ancient pagoda temples. Afternoon climb to Swayambhunath — the "Monkey Temple" — perched on a hilltop with sweeping views over the entire valley. Evening free to explore the cafés and shops of Thamel.
Drive to Pokhara – Phewa Lake Boating
Scenic 6–7 hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, following the Trishuli River through terraced hillsides and mountain villages. Check in to your lakeside hotel. As evening falls, take a relaxed boat ride on Phewa Lake, watching the Annapurna range turn gold and pink in the sunset, and visit the island Tal Barahi Temple at the lake's centre.
Sarangkot Sunrise, Davis Falls & World Peace Pagoda
Early pre-dawn drive up to Sarangkot for a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs — one of the finest mountain views in the world. Return for breakfast, then visit the thundering Davis Falls and the mysterious Gupteshwor Cave. In the afternoon, take a short hike or cable car to the World Peace Pagoda for panoramic lake and mountain views. Evening at leisure on Pokhara's Lakeside strip.
Drive to Chitwan National Park – Tharu Cultural Evening
Morning drive (approx. 4–5 hours) from Pokhara to Chitwan, Nepal's premier wildlife destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to your jungle resort. In the afternoon, take a guided village walk through a traditional Tharu community, learning about their unique culture, food and architecture. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant Tharu stick dance cultural performance.
Chitwan – Jungle Jeep Safari & Canoe Ride
An action-packed day in Chitwan National Park. Morning jeep safari deep into the sal forest and grasslands in search of the one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar and — with luck — the elusive Bengal tiger. After lunch, a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River to spot gharial crocodiles and resident and migratory birds, followed by a visit to the elephant breeding centre. Overnight at the jungle resort.
Drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu – Himalayan Sunset
Drive back towards Kathmandu (approx. 5–6 hours) and continue up to the hilltop town of Nagarkot, perched at over 2,100 m. Check in to your hill resort and enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Himalayan range, including views towards Everest on clear days. Optional: book the Everest Mountain Flight from Kathmandu for the following morning (subject to availability).
Nagarkot Sunrise – Kathmandu Departure
Early morning, witness a golden sunrise over the Himalayas from Nagarkot — one of the best vantage points near Kathmandu. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (approx. 1.5 hours) with time for last-minute shopping in Thamel before transferring to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, carrying memories of temple bells, mountain sunrises and jungle trails.

Best Time to Visit Nepal
Nepal is a year-round destination with each season offering a distinct and rewarding experience.
Spring
Rhododendrons bloom across the hills, pleasant temperatures and clear mountain views. Best overall.
Summer / Monsoon
Lush green valleys and waterfalls at their fullest, but hill roads can be affected by rain and landslides.
Autumn
Crystal-clear Himalayan views, festival season (Dashain & Tihar) and ideal trekking weather. Our favourite.
Winter
Crisp, clear mornings in the valleys; Nagarkot & Pokhara views remain excellent, though hill nights are cold.
