Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. After check-in and a short rest, visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of the Bagmati River, one of the holiest Shiva shrines in the world. In the evening, walk around the towering Boudhanath Stupa, spinning prayer wheels alongside Tibetan monks as butter lamps flicker at dusk. Return to your hotel for dinner.
A full day exploring the Kathmandu Valley's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Morning visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its carved wooden palaces, the Kumari Ghar (home of the Living Goddess) and ancient pagoda temples. Afternoon climb to Swayambhunath — the "Monkey Temple" — perched on a hilltop with sweeping views over the entire valley. Evening free to explore the cafés and shops of Thamel.
Scenic 6–7 hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, following the Trishuli River through terraced hillsides and mountain villages. Check in to your lakeside hotel. As evening falls, take a relaxed boat ride on Phewa Lake, watching the Annapurna range turn gold and pink in the sunset, and visit the island Tal Barahi Temple at the lake's centre.
Early pre-dawn drive up to Sarangkot for a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs — one of the finest mountain views in the world. Return for breakfast, then visit the thundering Davis Falls and the mysterious Gupteshwor Cave. In the afternoon, take a short hike or cable car to the World Peace Pagoda for panoramic lake and mountain views. Evening at leisure on Pokhara's Lakeside strip.
Morning drive (approx. 4–5 hours) from Pokhara to Chitwan, Nepal's premier wildlife destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in to your jungle resort. In the afternoon, take a guided village walk through a traditional Tharu community, learning about their unique culture, food and architecture. Overnight at the jungle resort.
